Quality Assured! Semta Apprenticeship Service is on the new Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP)
3rd April 2017
Semta Apprenticeship Service has been rewarded for its expertise and record of delivering high quality apprenticeships with a place on a new government register.
Only organisations on the recently published Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers will be able to deliver apprenticeship training for apprenticeships that start on 1st May 2017 or after. Around a quarter of applications for membership of the register were rejected by the government.
What does this mean?
Semta Apprenticeship Service’s acceptance on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers means we can deliver quality assured government funded apprenticeship training to employers who will be paying the apprenticeship levy. (Please note, we appear on the RoATP as Metskill Ltd, rather than Semta Apprenticeship Service our trading name).
Robert Halfon, the Apprenticeships and Skills Minister, said:
”Our new register of apprenticeship providers will mean that only organisations that have passed our quality assurance can deliver apprenticeships. We are giving employers the confidence to do business with high quality training providers and making sure that individuals can benefit from gold-standard routes as they climb the ladder of opportunity.”
What about employers who don’t pay the apprenticeship levy?
Semta Apprenticeship Service can help all size employers, levy paying or not – we offer a fully managed service for all your apprenticeship needs.
Annette Collins, Head of the Semta Apprenticeship Service, said:
“This is a further seal of quality for our service and comes hot on the heels of a very complimentary Ofsted report, where we were rated as a good provider.
“With the apprenticeship levy coming in and new funding rules being introduced for non-levy payers, employers will be looking carefully to make sure they get the most from their investment in apprenticeships.
“Now that we’re on the register, we are ready to work with engineering employers of all sizes across England to help them get the right apprenticeship training for their needs.”
