Semta is the place to come for people, productivity and performance solutions, as we have the skills system covered from end to end. We operate across the UK and are recognised by the governments and the devolved administrations.

Our mission is to contribute to the success of businesses by promoting and supporting the development of world-class skills in our sectors. As an established Sector Skills Council, we:

research the issues
develop qualifications and frameworks
influence skills policy
develop training with employers
secure funding for skills
work with quality training providers
manage apprenticeship schemes

Recently we have won several Employer Investment Fund bids and are working with partners to develop effective upskilling and recruitment initiatives for our sector employers.

We've already achieved a lot but, as more challenges emerge, there's much more to be done. With support from partners we can help UK engineering and manufacturing remain major players in the world economy.
