Engineering & Manufacturing Route Review Workshops Launched

A series of five consultation workshops are being launched as part of the Engineering and Manufacturing Route Review and will be run by the Semta Group and the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education.

The Institute is responsible for ensuring the availability of high-quality apprenticeships and technical education to learners and runs Route Reviews to make sure apprenticeship standards continue to deliver the very best for employers and apprentices.

The consultation period for the Engineering and Manufacturing Route Review was launched on 16 October 2019 for a period of 12 weeks. In addition, the Institute has offered a unique opportunity to participate in further discussions in a series of workshops in England. These are free-to-attend and are open to those with an interest in apprenticeships, standards, training and assessment including employers of all sizes, training providers, end-point assessment organisations or anyone interested in shaping the future of the engineering and manufacturing apprenticeships.

Route Review London

The combined efforts of the Institute and the Semta Group will enable those who are passionate about engineering and manufacturing, irrespective of the sector, to have their voice heard.

The fundamental aim of the Route Review is to ensure employers have a safe, competent and productive workforce and individuals enjoy purposeful, satisfying careers that begin with a high-quality apprenticeship.

At each event, the Institute will provide an update to participants of consultation in progress and will also be there in a listening capacity, allowing the opportunity for participants to share their thoughts on a sector which is evolving rapidly to meet the pace of change and industrial digitalisation.

The workshops will be held in five major cities across the country in the coming weeks to make them accessible to as many industry influencers as possible:

In a bid to minimise disruption to the day-to-day operation of your business, the events have been designed within a half-day format, running from 10 am-1 pm.

Whilst attendance in person is encouraged to make the most of the excellent networking opportunities the events offer, those who are unable to be there can still have their say via an online survey. To participate in the online survey please register for a ticket and a link will be sent for you via email.

Tickets for the events are strictly limited and offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Book your ticket now to avoid disappointment.
